Hodgdon TITEGROUP

As the name implies, this spherical propellant was designed for accuracy. Because of the unique design, this powder provides flawless ignition with all types of primers including the lead-free versions. Unlike pistol powders of the past, powder position in large cases (45 Colt, 357 Magnum and others) has virtually no effect on velocity and performance. Cowboy Action, Bullseye and Combat Shooters should love this one! TITEGROUP has it all, low charge weight, clean burning, mild muzzle report and superb, uniform ballistics. Available in 1 lb., 4 lb. & 8 lb. containers.

Velocities are for five shots taken at approximately 6 feet from the pistol muzzle using an Oehler Model 35P. All groups fired at 20 feet in five-shot strings. All loads were taper crimped. All cast bullet loads were poured of straight Linotype alloy and lubed with SPG. The .32 Auto/.32 ACP/7.65mm Browning Auto loads were fired from a Browning Model 1922 with a 4 1/2-inch barrel and used Winchester brass with Winchester Small Pistol primers.

Bullets cast were poured of 1-20 (tin-to-lead) alloy, sized .357 inch and lubed with SPG. Montana Cast Bullets' 158-grain SWC tested 8 on a Redding/SAECO hardness tester, which is equal to Linotype. Author's bullets and Speer 148-grain wadcutters all tested 4 on the hardness tester. All handloads assembled in Starline brass with Winchester Small Pistol primers.

Accuracy is the average of at least three, five-shot groups at 25 yards, unless otherwise noted. Velocities were measured with an Oehler M-35P chronograph with the front screen 12 feet from the gun's muzzle. All shooting was done double action from a rest. Range temperatures were 58 to 69 degrees Fahrenheit.
